Star TrekŪ U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit Snap-Together Plastic Model Kit
Star TrekŪ U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit Snap-Together Plastic Model Kit - 1/1000 Scale
In 2270, immediately after the Enterprise's historic five year mission under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, the Enterprise was placed into dry dock for a major refit. The legendary vessel received significant upgrades to most systems, including a new, state-of-the-art bridge, streamlined deflector dish and sleek new warp-drive nacelles.
This elegant redesign of the Enterprise made its debut in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Considered by many to be one of the finest effects miniatures ever created, the Enterprise was lavished with an ingenious surface paint treatment (referred to as "aztecing") that made the ship appear as if it were constructed of thousands of individual panels.
This 1:1000-scale snap-together model kit of the refit U.S.S. Enterprise features authentic styling and includes a full set of aztecing decals to recreate the Enterprise's intricate paneling details. Kit includes over 40 plastic parts, marking decals, poseable display stand and detailed instructions. Fully assembled kit measures approximately 12 inches long. Special packaging art features an illustration of the Enterprise by Andrew Probert, one of the original designers from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
